Each room is furnished with pieces modeled after American heritage furniture with antique brass hardware, plush bedding and hand-dyed linen. Comfortable club and desk chairs are upholstered with Brunschwig & Fils Gillian’s Zebras fabric that pops against cool blue and white tones.
Since 2012, Congress Hall has been honored by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the top US hotels in the Northeast and was recently awarded a spot on Condé Nast Traveler's Reader’s Choice Awards Top 20 Hotels in the Mid-Atlantic and New York. Congress Hall is also awarded with Tripadvisor's Certificate of Excellence. Most recently, Congress Hall was named to the 2021 Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards.
Designer's Notes
We've carefully designed our rooms to feel like you're stepping into your own little cottage by the sea. “A driving force for me is the thought that generations of families call this their summer home. I want my work to be part of the reason they return,” says interior designer Colleen Bashaw.
