Be a Part of our History

Last year, as we refreshed the Rusty Nail in the offseason, we realized that we had room to extend our iconic collection of vintage surfer photos and Cape May memorabilia. We opened photo submissions to the public, and the response was astounding with over 500 entries!  This year, we’re clearing a bit more wall space—and are excited to reopen Gallery Wall submissions for the 2025 season.

Submission Guidelines

  • Photos must depict The Rusty Nail, or the beaches in Cape May.
  • Group photos are welcome. Dogs, too!
  • We love vintage photos.

How do I submit my photos?

New this year! Bring a print of your photo to The Rusty Nail when we reopen on Friday, March 28. We’ll have a submission box set up in the restaurant, with cards available to fill out your name and email. We plan to select a few submissions every week. If your photo is selected, we’ll email you to let you know! We accept photo prints in the following sizes:

  • 8" by 10"
  • 5" by 7"
  • 4" by 6"
Online submissions begin on Friday, March 28. This is a good option if you can't make it to the Nail—but we encourage you to bring your photo in-person.
